TRADITIONAL LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

Acknowledging the land where we gather…

In the spirit of truth and reconciliation, and with gratitude and respect, we would like to acknowledge that Stage West Theatre operates within the traditional territories of the people of the Treaty 7 region in Southern Alberta, which includes the Blackfoot Confederacy (comprising of the Siksika, Piikani, Kainai First Nations), as well as the Tsuut’ina First Nation, and the Stoney Nakoda (including the Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Wesley First Nations). The City of Calgary is also home to the Metis Nation of Alberta, Region 3, and all others who call this place home.

Stage West Calgary acknowledges that we gather on these traditional territories  and are grateful to have the opportunity to continue to create and present on this beautiful land.
